When we mention Montepulciano to customers, they often are transported to another place. Montepulciano is a popular holiday destination in Tuscany, and the home of great memories for many people. It is also however the name of a grape variety. Montepulciano the grapes doesn't originate from the same area as Montepulciano the town, the most famous examples of this wine are made in Abruzzo, central Italy.
The variety is late ripening and the last parcel of fruit that we harvest each year. Montepulciano (or Monte as it is more affectionately known) gifts us with generous fruit flavours which compliment the new oak (30% of the blend) perfectly. This wine is like a big warm hug.
Harvest Date: 18 - 19 March 2021
