The founders

Bruce Holm had already 20 years' experience with the wine industry, in winemaking, viticulture and winery management. With ideal climate, good soils, spectacular views and Bright's charm drawing the crowds, Annie & Bruce were confident they could make Ringer Reef prosper.

The journey

Annie & Bruce took small steps over 20 years. The decision on the name came first. Gold was discovered in the late 1800’s by ring barkers (Ringers) and the resulting mine was called Ringer Reef. The initial vintage was in 2001 where the wines were made in the old dairy shed and in 2005 the cellar door and winery was built. Annie ran the cellar door and with her bubbly, affectionate and welcoming nature, locals and tourists became regular customers. As sales increased, Bruce continued to develop the vineyard and now there are 13 different varieties grown onsite. Today the Ringer Reef vineyard and wines are cared for and crafted by Annie and Bruces son, Mark.
