The Ringer Reef Story...
Annie & Bruce took small steps over 20 years. The decision on the name came first. Gold was discovered in the late 1800’s by ring barkers (Ringers) and the resulting mine was called Ringer Reef. The initial vintage was in 2001 where the wines were made in the old dairy shed and in 2005 the cellar door and winery was built. Annie ran the cellar door and with her bubbly, affectionate and welcoming nature, locals and tourists became regular customers. As sales increased, Bruce continued to develop the vineyard and now there are 13 different varieties grown onsite.
Annie & Bruce work as a team doing everything on site; planting vines, hand picking fruit, making the wine, bottling & labelling and running cellar door.
Ringer Reef has a relaxed and welcoming cellar door and the family enjoy taking customers through the diverse range of wines. With a stunning view of Mt Buffalo and the Buckland valley it is also a tranquil spot to enjoy a glass of wine with a local, seasonal produce platter.
The front gate is conveniently located on the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, which makes and lovely cruise by bike from Bright. The staff will deliver all wine purchases to your accommodation at the end of the day. Annie & Bruce look forward to welcoming visitors to their little slice of heaven, and sharing their passion for what they do and for their region.
