2022 Merlot

The fruit for this Merlot is from the original Ringer Reef plantings, planted in 1998 by Annie and Bruce. Multiple batches of Merlot were made to create blending options and ultimately complexity in this wine. Wine run-off skins at the end of ferment, into new oak, has gifted us vibrant fruit flavours and delicious chocolatey oak. Another portion was left on skins for extended contact and then matured in older oak barrels.
